My husband and I don't usually frequent the "chain" restaurants, but IHOP used to be my granddaughters favorite (and still is), so we decided to have breakfast at the IHOP located in the Bourne Rotary. I ordered pancakes, which is my absolute favorite. When my food came, delivered by our waitress who was chewing gum the entire time, I noticed that the butter that the huge mound of butter that was placed on the top of the stack of pancakes had sank into the stack. I thought that was strange, but didn't realize what was wrong until I starting eating the pancakes. Although my pancakes appeared cooked on the outside, the inside was uncooked pancake batter. It was disgusting. The waitress that was near by must have noticed the look on my face and asked if anything was wrong. I explained to her that my pancakes were not cooked properly and she promptly took them back to the kitchen. I decided that was a good time to run to the ladies room. On my way I encountered the manager who I explained what happened to. She immediately went back to the kitchen and on my way back from the ladies room I heard what sounded like an argument in the kitchen. A few minutes later the manager came over to our table and informed me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the pancakes that were served to me. At that point I decided it was time to leave. I certainly know a cooked pancake from an uncooked one and for a manager to tell me that the pancake batter they had served me was fine was beyond belief. Needless to say, we'll never be going back there or to any IHOP for that matter. When communicating my issue with corporate I never received a response. So much for that. There are plenty of other places that serve good breakfast. I suggest you pass on IHOP. Disgusting pancakes and waitresses who don't know when to stop chewing.
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: Poor food quality and poorly run
Worst Pancakes on the Planet (and on Cape Cod)

My husband and I stopped here to have breakfast one morning while we were in the area and although it wasn't during the busy summer months, the restaurant parking lot was still strangely empty considering IHOP is one of the most popular breakfast restaurants in the country, and I even said to my husband, where is everybody. Well, it certainly didn't take long to figure out why the parking lot was practically empty on a Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m.
Where shall I begin with this breakfast experience? Our waitress came to our table chewing gum, which by itself wouldn't be so bad, but trying to chew and talk was a little annoying. But it turned out that she was really nice so that made up for the gum chewing. I ordered what IHOP is famous for -- pancakes. When they arrived I thought it was unusual that the butter wasn't sitting on the top of my stack of pancakes, but had went through the top pancake and in the center of my stack of pancakes was a hole created by the mound of but
